Austria - Tips
while visiting Austria you absulutly must:
1. Hallstatt - a beautiful village, looks like taken out of a fairy tale, its on the Hallstersee lake side, located 24 KM south of Bad Ischl. I think its one of the most beautiful places in Europe. In this village you can find the skulls house- in this house you can see thousands of skulls. (of the dead people from this village) 2. Eisriesnwelt ice caves less than an hour drive from salzburg, take the highway (toll highway) to Villach, take the "Werfenweng" exit, and you will see the directions from there (brown signs). you have to climb 6 km woth your car or by bus (there are 2 parking lots there - uphill and downhill) you walk to the cable car that will take you to the summit. you need warm cloths and walking shoes, there are 700 stairs up and 700 stairs down. one of each 5 people carry a flashlight. no photo allowed english speaking people are in the front of the group (an advantage) the sights are amazing , worth the effort. 3. Water amusement castle in Hellbrunn, a lot of fun for kids and adults. Sent by Arik, Israel Austria & Berchtesgaden - Tip
